Coloring skin, hair and clothing
- Skin: there is no single “Black” skin tone. Use one base shade and one or two nearby lighter/darker shades for simple depth rather than filling every area with one flat color.
- Curly or Afro-textured hair: color the overall hair mass first, then add a few darker sections around curls, roots or the underside instead of outlining every strand.
