If you found a coloring page you like and just want to get it onto paper, this guide is for you. You do not need special software. In most cases, the cleanest method is to open or save the full-size image first, then print that image rather than printing the entire web page.
Quick version
- Open the coloring-page image you want.
- Save the full-size image to your phone, tablet or computer.
- Open the saved image in your normal Photos, Gallery or image-viewing app.
- Choose Print.
- Select A4 or US Letter paper, use “Fit to page” or a similar setting, and check the preview before printing.
On a computer
Open the full-size coloring image. In most browsers, right-click the image and choose the option to save it. Open the saved file, then use the print command in your image viewer. If the design is tall, choose portrait orientation. If it is wide, landscape orientation will usually use the paper better.
On iPhone or iPad
Open the full-size image, touch and hold it, then use the available save option. Open the image in Photos, tap the share button and choose Print.
On Android
Open the full-size image, touch and hold it, and save or download the image. Open it in your Photos or Gallery app, use the menu or share controls, and choose Print if your device and printer support it.
A4 or US Letter?
Both work for most of our coloring pages. The important setting is usually Fit to page or Scale to fit, which prevents the outer edges of the drawing from being cut off.
Portrait or landscape?
- Portrait: best for tall characters, animals and traditional coloring-book layouts.
- Landscape: best for wide scenes, groups, flower arrangements and many older galleries.
Paper and materials

How do I get the highest-quality version?
Print the full-size image rather than a screenshot. If a page provides a direct full-size image link, use that link before saving.
Why does the image look cropped?
Try “Fit to page,” reduce the scale slightly, or switch between portrait and landscape. Printer margins vary.
Why is it printing across several pages?
You may be printing the web page instead of the image. Cancel the job, open the individual image itself, save it, then print the saved file.
