The Hollywood Reporter magazine has published the top 50 best heroines in the history of Hollywood (as well as the Anglo-American television series). This has a special advantage: its component professionals. The Hollywood Reporter conducted a survey among actors, directors and other film makers (a total of 1,800 people) and asked them to name their favorite characters.
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter performed by Emma Watson won the poll. The actress herself also loves this role. Here is how she speaks about Hermione:
When I was asked at the audition who I want to play, I was not faced with such a question. I always adored Hermione. Her empathy, inner integrity, dignity and inflexible faith in the struggle for good and justice – even when her sincerity turns her into an easy target for ridicule – all this is impressive.
Thanks to Hermione, it’s okay for girls to be smarter than others. It’s normal to be a leader, have a plan. She is not just a role for me, she is a symbol. I am proud to have played it.
Princess Leia came second, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer took the third place. In general, the top 50 more than a third consists of the heroines of fantasy, including as many as five heroines of the Game of Thrones hit it. True, there are omissions: well, how could you not take Sarah Connor from the Terminator?
